Personal information collected
We collect information:
- When you register an account to become a Yasmo Live user (“User”), such as your name, e-mail, company, position, city, country and a password.
- When you add to your profile with further information about yourself.
- We use cookies and other technologies to recognize you, customize your experience and serve advertisements.
- We automatically receive from your internet use such information as your IP address, the URLs of sites from which you arrive or leave the Yasmo Live website, your type of browser and your ISP.
- Any personally identifiable information that you provide will be secured with industry standard protocols and technology.
In order to become a User, you must first create an account on our
website or on the Yasmo Live client application as downloaded to your
phone either from our website or from a text sent to your phone. Any
information you provide at registration or in the Profile section that
is not personally identifiable may be used in the same manner and extent
to which other information that is not personally identifiable is
permitted to be used hereunder, including for the purpose of serving
advertisements through the service.
Like most websites, Yasmo Live uses cookies and web log files to track
site usage. A cookie is a tiny data file which resides on your computer
which allows Yasmo Live to recognize you as a User when you return to
the Yasmo Live website using the same computer and web browser. One type
of cookie, known as a “persistent” cookie, is set once you’ve logged in
to your Yasmo Live account. The next time you visit the Yasmo Live
website, the persistent cookie will allow us to recognize you as an
existing User so you will not need to log in before using the service.
Additionally, if you log out of the Yasmo Live website you will need to
re-enter your password the next time you visit in order to log in to
your account. Another type of cookie, called a “session” cookie, is used
to identify a particular visit to the Yasmo Live website. Session
cookies expire after a short time or when you close your web browser.
Due to the communications standards on the Internet, when you visit the
Yasmo Live web site we automatically receive the URL of the site from
which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave Yasmo
Live. We also receive the Internet protocol (IP) address of your
computer (or the proxy server you use to access the World Wide Web),
your computer operating system and type of web browser you are using,
email patterns, as well as the name of your ISP. This information is
used to analyse overall trends to help us improve the Yasmo Live
service. The linkage between your IP address and your personally
identifiable information is not shared with third-parties without your
permission or except when required by law.
Uses of personal information
We use the information you provide to:
- Administer your account and customize service or promotional communications through notices on the Yasmo Live website.
- We do not sell, rent or otherwise provide your personal identifiable information to any third parties for marketing purposes.
- Enable you to share your information and communicate with other Users, or provide (usually at your option) your personal details to third parties offering combined services with Yasmo Live.
- As an event participant your profile can be viewed by (i) your registered fellow participants at an event; (ii) the organisers of the events you have registered for; and (iii) your contacts
- As an event organiser your company’s profile and forthcoming events can be viewed by (i) event participants; (ii) fellow event organisers; and (iii) event suppliers
- As an event suppliers your company’s profile can be viewed by (i) event organisers; (ii) fellow event suppliers.
Yasmo Live will communicate with you through email and notices posted
on the Yasmo Live website or through other means available through the
service. Please be aware that you will always receive certain emails
from Yasmo Live related to the proper functioning of your account, such
as email notices when another User asks to connect with you on Yasmo
Live. You can change your e-mail and contact preferences at any time by
logging into your ‘Settings’. Communications that you initiate through
the Yasmo Live website, like a request for contact, will list your name
and a link to your full profile on Yasmo Live.
We may provide aggregated anonymous data about the usage of our services
to third parties for such purposes as we deem, in our sole discretion,
to be appropriate, including to prospective advertisers on Yasmo Live.
Yasmo Live may offer our services in connection with other websites or
may team with other online services to give you the combined results of
both services or additional services and benefits.
Legal Disclaimer: It is possible that we may need to disclose personal information when required by law, such as responses to civil or criminal subpoenas, or other requests by law enforcement personnel. We will disclose such information wherein we have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to comply with a court order, ongoing judicial proceeding, subpoena, or other legal process or request to Yasmo Live brought in any country throughout the world, or to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
We may also disclose your personal and other information you provide, to another third party as part of a reorganization or a sale of the assets of the Yasmo Live Ltd company. Any third party to which we transfer or sell Yasmo Live’s assets will have the right to continue to use the personal and other information that you provide to us.
Your information choices
You can:
- Review, enhance or edit your personal information through your personal profile page.
- Change your settings so as not to receive email notifications when a fellow event participant sends you a contact invitation.
- Tell us to deactivate your Yasmo Live account.
You can review the personal information you provided us and make any
desired changes to the information you publish, or to the settings for
your Yasmo Live account including your email, and contact preferences,
at any time by logging in to ‘Your Account’ on the Yasmo Live website.
You can also close your account through the Yasmo Live website. If you
close your Yasmo Live account, we will remove your name and other
personally identifiable information from our database. Nevertheless, we
may retain certain data contributed by you if we believe it may be
necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse, or for legitimate business
purposes, such as analysis of aggregated, non-personally identifiable
data, account recovery, or if required by law. To request that we close
your account and remove your information from the Yasmo Live website,
please send your request to info@yasmolive.com.
Please send your request using an email account that you have registered
with Yasmo Live under your name. You will receive a response to requests
sent to info@yasmolive.com
within two business days of their receipt.
Changes to this Privacy Policy: Yasmo Live may update this privacy policy at any time, with or without advance notice. In the event there are significant changes in the way we treat your personally identifiable information, we will display a notice on the Yasmo Live website. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account. If you use the Yasmo Live service after notice of changes have been sent to you or published on our site, you hereby provide your consent to the changed practices.
Security: In order to secure your personal information, access to your data on Yasmo Live is password-protected. To protect any data you store on our servers we also regularly audit our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks and we use a tier-one secured-access data center. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information. Please note that the notes you take on every profile and the instant messaging communication for the arrangement of onsite meetings from your mobile phone with other Yasmo Live users are not encrypted and we strongly request you not to communicate any confidential information through these means.
