Mobile 2.0: Thriving Debut in the Global Mecca of Technology

Summit Chronicles No Comments »

The presentation we made at Mobile 2.0 in Barcelona in June must have been impressive, because the next thing we knew we were invited to launch the multi-platform version of our app at that most hallowed mecca of technology: Mobile 2.0 in Silicon Valley (Sep 20-21)!

There was a truly magical moment when we fired up the live feed of the app on the conference’s main screen during our presentation and saw that most of the attendees had logged on. So many months of developing, testing, re-testing and re-developing had finally paid off. Whatever their phone, attendees can now use our app – welcome to the future of conference networking, where you will never miss a networking opportunity ever again!

And not only was our debut a great success, but we got to rub shoulders with some of the great and the good of the mobile world: Nokia’s business strategists, Telstra’s Emerging Technology Specialists, MashUp’s founder, Rovio’s – creator of Angry Bird’s – marketing director and Velti’s representatives.

A very special thanks therefore to Gregory Gorman, one of Mobile 2.0′s founders for spotting us in Barcelona and giving us the chance to make a big splash of our launch in Silicon Valley.  Thanks also to the other members of Mobile 2.0′s Organising Committee: Dan Appelquist, Senior Technology Strategist at Vodafone; Mike Rowehl, Angel Investor and founder of MoMo SV and Peter Vesterbacka, co-founder of Mobile Monday and Mighty Eagle at Rovio.
